I was born and grew up on the borders of the river Severn, the part which meanders through the English counties of Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire. Initially studying Foundation at Manchester College of Art, Fine Art BA at Hornsey College of Art and MA Sculpture at Chelsea School of Art in the 1970s. Painting, Sculpture and Poetry have always been my artistic borderland and I work across all three disciplines within the context of Fine Art. I push the borders of writing and sculpture and am a prolific Instagramer. Colour is my brightest visual tool and I speak with structure and poetic conjecture to express emotion and belief in the natural world.  I now live and work in west Dorset.
